The second release from this property continues to display the mountain characteristics Marc and his family fell in love with – a terroir-driven Cabernet Sauvignon with a rich and complex structure. The 2009 Aloft includes expansive layers of ripe red and blue fruits, refined spices and brown sugar. The aromas are seamlessly emulated on the palate with subtle blueberry and mineral notes. The texture of the wine is lush and creamy with silky tannins and mouthwatering acidity. Big and balanced, it stands as well on its own as it does alongside a family meal.
Peter Mondavi Sr. and his two sons, Peter Jr. and Marc have crafted a big, tannic and age worthy wine. It’s packed with massive blackberry fruit, with the hard tannins and minerality common of Howell Mountain. Don’t even think of opening this before 2016; it should develop well beyond that.

All wines have been carefully stored in a temperature control cellar at 55*.
