Faust Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Case of 12

Description

2018 was an ideal vintage with bud break in early spring and perfect weather at bloom.  A classic Napa summer followed with warm days and cool nights, leading to a long even harvest with no pressure from rain for the Cabernet Sauvignon.  Extensive selective picking and sorting ensured that the grapes that reached the tanks were in optimal condition, fully ripe and full of flavor. The grapes were hand-picked, double-sorted and crushed, then cold-soaked and fermented in both French oak and stainless steel tanks. After an extended maceration and malolactic fermentation in barrel, Faust was aged for 19 months in 100% French oak, 30% new.
Dense and inky, the core is a beautiful, rich ruby color. The aromas lift out of the glass with blackberry, black cherry, ripe raspberry and tea leaf. The entry is impressive with a fleshy mouthfeel and notes of cassis, dark chocolate and ripe berries. The layers continue to unfold throughout a long finish. The 2018 is ready to drink upon release, and will develop and age gracefully over five to seven years.

All wines have been carefully stored in a temperature control cellar at 55*.

Please understand that during the summer months, the shipping insurance does not cover heat damage incurred during shipping. We only ship on a Monday and Tuesday to limit the length of time that the wine is on the truck.
