Description
I AM NOT SELLING A KIT,
only a new, full-size copy of the
PLAN
for Krieser's 60" RC
PIETENPOL AIR CAMPER
& his
construction
article
to build one for yourself.
This great RC flying model was published in
Grid Leaks
in 1965
. It calls for .29-.40 glow engines and a 3-channel RC. Personal experience in RC flying shows that a parasol wing design like this one is super-stable in flight. It has enough wing dihedral for the model to roll out into level flight from a tight turn. This is why a homebuilder’s kit in the 1920s & 30s for the plane using a 40-hp Ford Model-A engine was so very popular.
I have a large packet of original documents for the
PIETENPOL AIR CAMPER.
As a
BONUS
I include a copy of a very nice cutaway from Sport Pilot & Ultralights 1998. This Douglas Rolfe drawing of “Yesterday’s Homebuilts” would look great framed over your workbench. To top that, I also include full scale data 4-view drawings and detail showing the converted Ford Model-A engine installation most commonly used in the
PIETENPOL AIR CAMPER.
You’ll not find a more thorough and complete offering.
