Petite Sirah, Carignane, Zinfandel and Grenache, co-fermented. A true field blend from the historic Testa Vineyard in Mendocino.
Post & Vine is made by two young ladies firmly ensconced in Napa Valley winemaking. They are Erica Kincaid (Rudd Estate) and Rebekah Wineburg (Former Buccella winemaker, current Quintessa winemaker). Their day jobs involve making delicious, high-end Napa Cabs. Their own project, Post & Vine, focuses on Northern California old-vine, organic vineyards of quality and character.
The 2016 Post & Vine is an expressive wine with aromas of wild strawberry, blackberry, pomegranate, blood orange and hints of clove and cinnamon. It is lively throughout the palate with cranberry, cedar, lilac and rose petals. Medium tannins and mineral finish. Rich, balanced and smooth, easy to like, especially with simple fare hot off the grill - burgers, chicken and pork.
