The WALT wines honor Kathryn Hall’s parents, Bob and Delores Walt, whose dedication to viticulture, farming, and the bounty of the earth remain the inspiration for our winemaking efforts. In 2010, we partnered with artisan vintner Roger Roessler, whose winemaking highlights the impact of location, microclimate, clonal selection and viticulture. Our vineyard partners are located in some of the most prestigious locations in the Anderson Valley, Sonoma County, Santa Rita Hills, and the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Each wine reflects the unique characteristics of its vineyards.
Gap’s Crown Vineyard sits in the heart of the Sonoma Coast Appellation on the edge of the Petaluma Gap, a band of lowlands along the Sonoma coastline inviting the Pacific Ocean’s cool, steady winds. The site’s hillside terrain undulates 300-800 feet above sea level. Very rocky, well-draining soils produce wines of great depth and richness.
Deep ruby red in color, the wine has boundless aromas of bright cherry,  black spice and vanilla cola echo through the rich, lush palate. This wine possesses great weight and depth, a big structure with a chewy tannin finish.

We will be able to handle any problems with Fed-Ex within a 30 day period following the expected delivery date. We will always work to get your problem solved as quickly as possible. We ship in styro-foam containers, for the most secure delivery possible. Please understand that during the summer months, the shipping insurance does not cover heat damage incurred during shipping. We only ship on a Monday and Tuesday to limit the length of time that the wine is on the truck.
